Walking North to South of the Languedoc-Roussillon Region (Day 1 to 3)

A 500 km walk completed in 21 days. My chosen way to get fitter and in the process experience the amazing diversity of the Languedoc-Roussillon Region. I started my journey from the volcanic and granitic plateau of the Aubrac ending it in the Pyrennees flirting with the Spanish border.

Aumont-Aubrac (Lozère) - La Canourgue (Lozère): spent the first couple of days crossing the easterly part of this high volcanic plateau discovering this northern corner of the Occitanie Region. At times its raw beauty, its gleaming rivers and marshlands reminded me of the Irish Connemara, only for ponys to have been substituted by cows…
